Blessing of the Pets

Next Blessing of the Pets: Sunday, July 30th @ 10:30 AM

Before God created Humankind, God created the Earth and all the animals to dwell upon it and declared it good.

Here at SUPC, we value and reflect upon what it means to be caretakers of God's creation, celebrating not just the lives of our people, but also the lives of the pets and other animals that enrich our lives each year during our annual "Blessings of the Pets" service.

The Blessing of the Pets service takes place each year in the summer months during our normal Sunday service time, usually in August when SUPC often worships outdoors under our Pavillion.

Animals of all kinds, from the smallest to the largest, are welcomed during the service to recieve a blessing. We just ask that owners take any needed measures to provide a safe enviroment for all the animals present.

We also dedicate time to remember and pray for those animals who have passed on from our care.

As part of our focus on Mission during this time, we invite donations of common Pet items to be donated to the Schoharie County Animal Shelter each year.
