In Our Church
Schoharie United Presbyterian Church takes seriously it's committement to Christian Education for all ages. We have many opportunites for people to get involved. Currently we offer Sunday Morning Adult Education -New Testament Studies, Monthly Women's Bible Study, Small Group Seasonal Learning Series, i.e. Advent, Lent, Easter. Here at SUPC, we strive to center our Christian Education opportunites to match the needs and interests of our community. We hope you find one that is right for you.
Wiawaka Women's Group
The Wiawaka (Presbyterian) Women's group has a long tradition dating back to the early days of our Church History. This group meets on the third thursday of every month for a fellowship dinner and is primarily focused on community outreach and congregational care.
Men's Fellowship Breakfast
The Men's Fellowship is a newy formed group dedicated to providing opportunities for the men of the church to get together for fellowship in ways that best fit their needs. This group is missional in natrue, as each meeting is a chance to come together to discuss current needs of the community for missional projects. Currently, we meet for breakfast the 1st Sunday of every month @ 9 AM at the Country Cafe on Schoharie Main St. If you know of a need in the community, ranging from small house projects, yard work, or repairs, to large projects, we'd like to help. We have many talented men in our church with a large range of skills. Please contact our Church Office and let us know how we can help.
Doing Well Center
Faith community nurses are licensed, registered nurses who practice wholistic health for self, individuals and the community using medical knowledge combined with spiritual care. The focus of their work is on the intentional care of the spirit, assisting the members of the faith community to maintain and/or regain wholeness in body, mind, and spirit. As recent addition to their ministry is the implementation of what will now be an annual Flu Shot Clinic, supporting the community to make Flu Vaccines availble to all members of the local community.
SUPC Bell Choir
Schoharie United Presbyterian Church has a long tradition of Ministry in Music. One of our many musical oppotunities here at the Church is our Hand Bell Choir. The Bell Choir is made up primarily from youth in the community and perform during worship services and other events periodically throughout the year.
